Paging through my catalogue which is way overdue of a culling exercise and stumble on this old photo which was earmarked to be trashed....now I think not.
December 26th is a bit late to get those striking rich colours, however this guy is still ok'ish ito colours.

Lovely image, Bertie! Interesting pose and perch! A slight douse of saturation could freshen him up! LOL! The carmine bee eaters were just beginning to return to the Chobe the first trip I made to Botswana/Africa. Such beautiful birds!
