IMO a bird does not have to be exotic to be a fun subject for photos.They get no respect!

It’s the only songbird that it’s legal to kill in CA, I believe. I actually never see them at our house, but i do see some native sparrows like these gold crowned guys that like our bird bathThey might be pretty, but the only respect/shot they get at my house is with a .410 shotgun... I've had several nests (and young) destroyed by them.
