Just got back from a few weeks from the Gold Coast [Qld Aust],we stayed right on the broadwater which had access to Sea and Shore birds right in our hotel.Nothing super special but a few species i really like photographing ,the Sooty Oystercatcher i was told is quite rare and i saw this one on multiple days so a real bonus. The pelican shot is a bit in your face but he came in right behind me and i didnt have time to react i just turned and clicked[i like it],the real buzz was seeing a sea turtle about three feet from me in the open water he was about four feet off the rocks and he hung around for about ten minutes,id like to think im improving so i hope you enjoy these few cheers John
