This afternoons walk was productive, the Spotted Pardalotes seem to be in breeding mode.

I think not, I have looked at all the other shots and it looks pretty small for a band.Is that a band on its left leg?
Around here I have seen them mostly nest in hollowed out nests in dirt banks, find a suitable bank, wait patiently.Good to get one out of the canopy
Not sure, cannot answer that for you, but we may all have it to some extent.Or do I just have "greener grass" syndrome?
I see. Def not a band. What a beautiful bird. You've done it justice with your shots. kudos! And I think the 2nd shot is my fav. It highlights all the little "spots" and says "look at me" No, really LOOK AT ME!I think not, I have looked at all the other shots and it looks pretty small for a band.
I am not aware of any banding being done on the Spotted Pardalote.
This is another angle on the bird.

I believe we have about 2/3rds of the world's parrot species, and some 900 odd bird species in total. What a pretty little thing. You folks are really blessed with the winged critters down there. Or do I just have "greener grass" syndrome?
