I have found these options for the above mentioned lens:

Leofoto NF-05 Lens foot for Nikon Arca-Swiss with QD - 66$
Kirk LP-70 Lens Foot for Nikon Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S & Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S Lens - 100$
Really Right Stuff Foot for NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR-S Lens (and 100-400) -140$

If you are aware of alternatives, especially in Europe, please let me know.
I am interested in replacement foots, not in Arca-Swiss compatible plates.

Waiting on the RRS and in the meantime fitted one of their universal plates.

I have the Kirk LP-70 but I find that when I rotate camera, the foot actually hits my knuckles as its more square onto the lens than tne Nikon OEM. I have smallish hands too.

Looks like if that knob is loose and you bump that button it will come off the collar???

That’s right. It’s the same as the Nikon OEM foot. Push the lever to release and slide off. The knob is what you tighten to prevent it sliding off.
by the way, you see how square it is in the image you posted….that’s what hits your knuckles …my comment in post #6 above.

Hejnar on both of mine along with my 500PF.

I bought a Desmond DPL-100 Arca Swiss compatible lens plate that is 100mm long from a seller on Amazon and paid $13. I used a second mounting screw so as to completely avoid any twisting with it attached to the foot of the 100-400mm lens. With a 100mm plate like this I have 150mm of adjustment possible which I cannot do with a third party foot. I did the same with the 500mm PF using a Wimberley P-20 plate. I use a Wimberley P30 plate with my 600mm f/4 lens.

A big advantage of the plate is that with its extending past the foot I can clamp on a bracket for a speedlight.

Have the RRS and they are great though occasionally slip off. So I need to remember to tighten them

When the 500 mm PF came out, there were many reports of lens falling off the original Nikon foot. I bought the RSS replacement foot since I had used RSS previously on several of my Nikon lenses and I have had no problems with loosening. At the time Steve recommended the one piece Henjar foot. The Wimberly is also one piece and a good choice. The thought of an expensive lens falling on concrete is not a pleasant one. For my 100-400 S, I went with the Henjar and am very happy with it and it is less expensive than RSS. It screws directly onto the lens mount and there is no possibility of it falling off. Since I do not remove the replacement foot from the lens, I don't need quick removal of the foot,

Bill

I'd like a cheaper alternative too but only the heavy brands seem to make replacement feet for lenses.
I've been writing to Nikon for many years begging them to make their tripod feet arca swiss without any luck...🦘

Here is a summary of this thread according to my understanding:
  • Posters recommended mostly
    • Really Right Stuff Foot for NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR-S Lens (and 100-400)
    • Hejnar foot for Nikon Z 70-200/f2.8 S VR
    • Kirk LP-70 Lens Foot for Nikon Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S & Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S Lens
  • Cheapest of them all is Hejnar
  • Replacement foot using screws tend to loosen and need at least random checks to see if they are OK
  • There is no reported difference between more expensive RRS foot and cheaper Kirk LP-70
  • Nobody commented on Leofoto NF-05 Lens foot
  • Those preferring fixed foot are recommending Hejnar
  • Those having no issues with the one with a screw recommend RRS.
Am I missing anything?

I have Hejnar foot on my Nikon Z100-400 and it is the same foot for the 70-200 a great well engineered product. I also have Hejnar feet on my Nikon 600 f/4E and 500 pf. First heard about Henjar from @Steve they are very well made, secure, usually a little longer and in the case of the 600 f/4E not as tall as the Kirk I first got. Chris Hejnar may ship out ot the US http://www.hejnarphotostore.com ... [email protected] .... 630-408-2983
