It's getting towards the end of the year and I thought it would be fun to post some of our best / favorite shots from the last twelve months. Only post images you captured this year and please keep it to eight photos or less (I know, it's tough if it's been a busy year). I can't wait to see what you captured! (I'd post some of my own, but I didn't get any landscapes in this year, so it's up to you!)

Does that last one still count as a landscape if a puppy made it into the shot?? ;) But this guy is why I didn't do as much landscape work this year and didn't travel as much. I brought him home last January as an 8 week old puppy and it was many months where I was pretty much home bound while raising him. So he gets an honorary mention from his first trip with me to photograph fall colors in the Sierra Nevada.

Here are a few of mine. Here in the midwestern part f the USA, we do not have a lot of the grand vistas and crashing waves. What we do have are intimate landscapes. A little different take on landscape photography than what most think of.

Not sure why EXIF got stripped from these.
Camera: Nikon D500, Lenses were Nikon 24-70 F2.8, Nikon 200-500.

All the previous posts are exceptional! What a year.
The following shot is of a thunderstorm brewing up on the north rim of the Grand Canyon, taken from the south rim. It was also chosen as a “photo of the day” by Arizona Highways magazine.
