I'm enjoying everyone's images, in both this thread and in the thread on favorite wildlife images of 2022. What a wonderfully talented group of photographers! I haven't had time to look through my wildlife images from 2022, but will post a few landscape images from the two weeks we spent in Norway last summer. The first three images are from a small fishing village in the Lofoten islands...first it was raining, then it cleared enough to create an 180 degree rainbow, and finally it was back to the rain...

2022 has been a lean year for me for landscapes, unfortunately. Best viewed by clicking on image.

1) My last photo of the year is my first here, a 15 vertical shot panorama of Sydney Harbour using the 24-70 f2.8S at 35mm and stitched using PTGui. It ended up as a 29648 x 7422 pixel image or 220Mp! The detail is amazing at full size, but this is a 7590 x 1900 pixel image.

Z9 + 24-70 f2.8S @ 35mm, 1/640s f/8.0, ISO64. This one is worth clicking on twice to fill the screen.

#1 I'm sure it took you a lot of time to have everything on track, particularly the boats but above all the plane in the center of the picture 👏

This blog always has great photos that inspire me to do my best. So I want to add my modest contribution. Unfortunately, as I already wrote in the post about naturalistic pictures, 2022 hasn't been an excellent year. I hope this year goes better.
The first two photos are from my trip to Norway in February, the two of the Gran Paradiso National park in my country, Italy, and the last two are from my Christmas holiday trip in NY.

This photo is with a very low shutter speed and a handheld camera to make the people on the Central Park skating rink move. It is in a square format because I correct the perpendicular line of the building.

This is in 16:9 format to cut a part of water and a part of the sky to keep the eyes on the skyline.

Douglas Falls - on the North Fork of the Blackwater River in West Virginia. This was probably the waterfall I visited that was most treacherous to photograph. After scouting this, I concluded it was a bad idea for a photo group. But it's a really nice waterfall if you are up to scrambling.

Here is a 5 image pano from the Badlands. I would not normally include a pano, but it's the only way to capture the feeling of this area.

As it is when life give you lemons, it is the same when life gives you snow... You take scenic snowscape photos! And your's are wonderful, Steve!

I grew up in Florida, but got to live in California where snow was often accessible, North Dakota, where the snow just blew in from Montana and Canada, and Colorado, where I could admire a snow capped Pikes Peak for much of the year, along my journey back to Florida. I do miss seeing snow, especially the reflected glow from the Add-A-Man Club's New Years Fireworks display atop the mountain.

I don't miss shoveling and driving in it, though!

No - we went to Wall for brunch/lunch but were staying in Keystone. We stayed at the home of a photographer friend - a 3 BR rental property that is a terrific location for that area. If anyone is interested I'll connect you with him to bypass rental fees.
