Which Cormorant Shot Do You Prefer

Which one appeals to you? The main difference is choice of white balance, top one is PS Auto, the bottom is Camera Auto WB.

I'd go with the sky in 2 and the bird in one :). Just out of interest what happens when you click the color balance eyedropper on the white portion of the hazard sign. That might end up with a bit cooler color if this was shot during golden hour which you could then warm up a tad but FWIW if there's a true white in the image I'll often try color balancing off of it to see what happens when known whites are rendered as white.

Would be interested in seeing how 2 looks with the blue cast removed from the bird. Played with it just a bit, removed some of the blue and increased contrast.
