Thanks, Steven. It was early morning just before sunrise, with a heavy cloud cover. I had to crank up the exposure comp, resulting in the white sky. But that was the only time I managed to get a decent image of these amazing pigeons so I have to live with the white sky. I don't usually like such a sky, but as you say, it contrasts the birds nicely.
I agree, and I think sometimes the white sky actually enhances and accentuates the colors of a bird like this. Darker colored birds are harder to get away with but I think the same as looks fantastic.
