Osprey seem like they should be easy to get a decent photo but i have really struggled to capture a really good image. I'll get there someday. Here is one with a fish he grabbed out of the Frenchman Hills river. I will say he had quite a meal ready and tried hard but a Swainson's hawk left with the bass.

Wonderful pictures of the osprey with its prey. Would like to catch on like this.

I'm a little bit lost and frustrated. When I reply to a picture, I end up at a different place in the tread and have to find the last picture I commented to again. And I have a question. Why are some pictures here only as an attachment and how do you attach a picture instead of viewing it directly?

Great forum looking forward to more.

This is awesome! The sharpness of his bill skimming the water is incredible!

Thank You, I almost always seem to be in the wrong position when it comes to the Osprey, got lucky with this one. He also had a Red-tailed hawk and a Swainson's hawk challenging him for that fish. The Swainson's hawk ended up robbing him of the bass.

Last for the day and nearer home.

What a fantastic shot. You and the osprey both got your catch. Very well done. I've been to the "Loch of the Lowes" wildlife reserve near Dunkeld in April 2018, but the nest was much to far away for my D7000 with 70-300 mm then. I've to go to Avimore with my D500 and 200-500 mm next time. But it's not the right time to travel now. Greetings from Germany

A couple juvenile Bald Eagles. Not a perfect shot but good Eagle action in Central, Washington January '20.

Rothiemurcus is the place to go. It will be next year sadly.
