Sunny warm day today and spring is definitely in the air as evidenced by all the birds in the yard today. The Robins are back but the highlight was all the Cedar Waxwings that visited today to eat last year's crabapples off our tree.

Thanks, our neighbors have a red steel roof that was lit pretty brightly by the morning sun and I just worked my position to get a reasonably clear shot of the Waxwing with the roof in the background.

Certainly no award winning shots here lol, but it sure was a pleasant surprise today (April 3rd) to come across yet another bird species I have never seen before. :)
