My first post to the BG forums! I did a bluebird project for Earth Day, I hope the link from Youtube is enough.
In 1967 my dad and I put out my very first bluebird nest box at our summer cabin on the Mattaponi River. In 45-years I've never been without my bluebird friends. The Bluebird...
This bird is beginning to molt into its Winter Plumage. Most of the Yellow has gone, but some remains. In this heavily cropped picture, you can see some of the remaining yellow, and its delicate feather structure. Shot through double glazed glass.

Another Brazil trip bird, first for me. He first showed up right at dawn in very low light. I wasn't a huge fan of those shots. Fortunately, we came back by in about 45 minutes to an hour and he was still hanging around. Light was still soft and even, but enough to realistically get some...
Hi, I have a Nikon Z8 with a 500PF lens, 1.4 extender and FTZ 11 adapter as my primary bird photography equipment. I enjoy both watching birds with binoculars and photographing them. I bird watch by hiking and having light gear is key. I recently moved to the Z8 from a D500 and still struggle to...

Although I am not a super-creative and thinking out of the box type person, at times it does occur to me to let out my creative self and try things.

Saw this one nibbling off blades of grass for an evening snack.

(P.S- New Member, first post of mine, do let me know if there are any rules I have broken so I can be sure to not repeat in future :) )
I thought I would share two pictures today, both taken 30/5/21 in my back garden (Shoeburyness, UK). The Blue Tits are busy feeding an unknown number of young and keeping the nest clean (2nd shot).
