Back from the species's northern breeding grounds – a 9,000 km journey around the western edge of the Pacific – this Bar-tailed Godwit was so intent on refuelling that it ignored me as I lay flat on the tidal flats of Moreton Bay.
The godwits, together...
Although all birds and wildlife are fun to watch, there is something different with shorebirds, they just seem to gather more attraction to me. Amd especially when they are in flocks.
Saw these couple common terns busy with some behaviour... not sure if its a fight or a mating behaviour.
