I have used a male Gang-gang Cockatoo as my avatar on this forum, so I thought that I would post an image to show what the entire bird looks like. In this image, the male has erected his crest in an attempt to look his best for a nearby female. The scientific species name for these cockatoos is "fimbriatum", meaning fringed. You can certainly see why these cockatoos were given this name!

Another teachable moment. I enjoy the information you include with your images! Since it is your avatar, I do have to wonder if your hair style at some time in the past, resembled the gang-gang! ☺️
