Several nests with Spoonbill chicks of varying sizes. One is unobscured the others are behind palm fronds. There are three nests that should hatch any day now that are eye level and unobscured. That will be fun. Great Egret chicks are more available. Last week the parents left three chicks in a nest and while the parents were gone another great egret killed all three chicks, in less than three minutes. The offending egret now occupies that nest. Cattle Egrets. Snowy Egrets, and Tri Colored Herons are in various stages of early nesting, with eggs but no chicks as of yesterday.
