It's actually a baby Sandhill Crane! Yellowstone NP. But you were so close. Just goes to show you, a photo can be wrong.... I was able to get a decent shot of one, really difficult in all that long grass as they were so tiny. I am amazed that they survive at all.Ok well I'll guess at a baby swan. May be similar Coloring.
