The Sony A1 and Nikon Z9 and current Canon's are out of date already..........by comparison to whats coming soon and into the future.
Sports action cameras are at 45 to 50mp, with high iso and 3 D tracking, the landscape portraiture models will be out in the 85, 90 100 mp very soon ?
The Canon R1 is coming so the industry leap frogging is active again, the R1 will make the Z9 feel like its stuck in 3rd place....... the industry is trying to generate a recovery and new growth using new features and more frequent refresh models like the smart phone industry.
Taking stills from video sadly is the future for mainstream photography......hence the hybrid cameras are advancing in the video area more than stills area.
Nikon's new Eco head office is a mega investment........share holders have been optimistic i guess...........claimed 400,000 Z9 orders ????? if its true its worth approximately around $2.25 Billion Retail excluding on sales of lenses etc, is this hype to please the shareholder......or are the numbers real.......
Happy days..............
If its true 400,000 units on a 365 day basis is 1095 units a day to be produced on a single 12 hour shift......or 91 units an hour.........who knows how many shifts their are ?
Single digit pro cameras are usually made in Japan to a very high QC standard.............watch this space.......
Many people have enjoyed the A1 for some time while others have laid wounded with obsolete gear and indecision, the A1 owners bravo, you haven't wasted time...
The greatest currency in the world
is not the US $ its TIME, why Time, we spend it every second every day, spend it wisely............
One of the biggest enemy's in life is indecision, to brake that we need to make the decision to make the decision...........
I have ordered a Z9 because if it can do 20fps raw at 45 mp, has a tilt screen, and has with IBIS, hey its a good step forward..........will the drill down model be more suitable and lighter yes possibly but not at the cost of time and rising inflation....................120fps is something of no value to me.
Inflation and currency will be a curse going forward, don't waste time............get what ever you can afford or use what you have and just enjoy photography..........while skill sets still are relevant for a little while longer..
Interesting take in the link below !!!!!
