We have a few lavendar farms here in my home state, including one on beautiful Washington,Island on Lake Michigan off of Door County.
Here are a few shots from last August.
On a separate note - My other half loves lavendar but had to spend all of her time in the shop rather than the fields because she is severely allergic to bee stings and they were everywhere I was shooting.

Nice set, Joe! Looks like a carpenter bee, a bit like ours, but beige whereas ours are yellow 'n black M and Black 'n White F. Honeybee allergy sucks, I used to carry an epi-pen but now just adrenaline ampule and tablets much cheaper.
