It was jut below freezing as the sun was rising yesterday and I managed to get a few shots of this backlit Bobolink as he sang away.

Interesting and unique image. I'll never see this in person! Sunrise.....already in position......freezing? Not unless I'm on a photo tour! LOL! Only then do I put forth such effort.....:rolleyes:

Thanks! This was in a field near our home that usually has dozens of bobolinks. On this morning it was about 30 degrees. The colder the better, and I found the subject usually has to be backlit. As long as the bird's breath is warmer than the air, you can have some luck.
