Burrowing owl with junebug

Sadly that seems to be the case. The field is now posted with No Trespassing signs, and a security company makes its rounds telling anyone out on the adjacent road that they have to leave. Was there three times in the past month, and each time was run off by security. The last time I pushed back and told him he had no authority to make me move from the road. At that point he said he would call the local police, who would ticket me for "loitering". Didn't feel like waiting for that to possibly happen, so left.

As an aside, I did talk to an Audubon rep who told me the development was on hold, as a lawsuit had been filed against the developer. No idea what that lawsuit claims, so will be interesting to see how this plays out.

It's such a bummer. I mean make the development or don't but this limbo combined with the stay away policy they're implementing is like the worst of both worlds.
