The first time I photographed a burrowing owl I was on a photo tour in Florida, the ones that live by the library in Cape Coral. Now I just have to jump in the car and drive for 20 minutes and I'm loving it. A pair have nested in a rocky area near a lake and the three times I've gone to visit them I've always spotted one. I'm hoping to see them both together at some point. And twice now the owl has flown off the rocks in such a way that I've caught it in-flight. This is the most recent in-flight shot. They have such stunning eyes, so very cute.
