We did a bunch more planting in the gardens yesterday at our place and at our daughter's. There were small criters everywhere so, of course, out came the camera for a bit if relaxation photo therapy. Here is a series of a Monarch.
I continue to love the results I get with the Z9/100-400 w/ TC14Z combo. All shots at 560mm and uncropped. Processed only in LrC.

Beautiful images!

Just read in the specifications that it has a max. magnification of 1:2,6 😮
With the 1.4 TC even better.
I should consider that lens instead of a 105mm

Nice example of what that combo and do! I really like the 100-400 - with or without the 1.4 tele. Have you tried the 2x tele?

I have, but not much, and not "seriously". We have bright, busy gardens right now, so trying the 2x sounds like a good idea! Thanks.
