In the past, some of us have posted our calendar photos for the upcoming year.

Post your calendar photos here.

What I find is that people like striking looking birds or birds doing interesting things. People are not always interested in the more drab looking birds and thus why I try to put up the more colourful birds.

Awesome collection of images Lance.
Happy New year.

Really nice set of images Lance! And a man after my heart....all birds. I have transitioned to using mammals and some birds. The family vetoed landscapes in favor of this. Happy to comply. Wishing you happy holidays!

this is absolutely fantastic presentation  and stunning photos!!(y) WoW!
The question is what is better on 600PF against 180-600 except a good quality with TC ?
Image quality is quite similar.

Beautiful images Lance and Happy 2025
Thank you very much, Wallie. Much appreciated!
A Happy New Year to you also!

The lenses are all great these days, little difference between them. :)

Fantastic images.
My wife and I haven't done a calendar in a couple years. It kind of got to be a chore especially collecting money, shipping and dealing with someone wanting one after all had already been dropped off. We "sold" these for exactly our cost to as a money maker and really was only dealing with family, friends and some acquaintances.

During the 5 or 6 years we did calendars, I concur with your observation people like rich vibrant colors, animals doing interesting things (feeding babies, big bucks standing each other off, cute critters and, I was surprised, up close macro to the point of being abstract flowers. For October, fall color landscapes were always a big hit (especially fall colors with a reflection in water).

Frogs, snakes, insects, spiders should be avoided unless the entire calendar is about one of those creatures. Also moody black and white and fog photos, while people tend to like them, just don't seem to play well in a calendar.

My theory on this is that people look at the photos on a calendar as a brief moment of escape from the stresses of whatever it was that caused them to look at the calendar in the first place (an appointment, meeting, birthday, whatever). Bright happy photos offer that momentary release.

Lance, your photos for your calendar selection are beautiful.

Jeff

Lance, if you are not printing your calendars yourself, where do you have them printed? Thanks
I have them printed by Snapfish here in Australia. Their quality and service are excellent. I do not know what they are like in other countries.

Thank you very much, Jeff. Much appreciated!

I do the calendar it for my business customers and also print off a few more for family and friends. :)

Like you say, unless you have specific people interested in snakes, spiders and insects etc, like an interest group or the like, stay away from them and stick to birds, animals, landscapes, waterfalls, flowers etc. :) I am running out of fresh new birds to photograph so I may resort to some native animals instead next year.
