There are so many “alert” species that our focus critters are tuned into. Really haven’t had them spoil my photography….. or hunt. I‘ve read all the responding members thoughts and I hear ya’. I’ve sat with rifle on a mountainside watching a sunrise. Then a spike buck wandered down behind me, circled in front of me…. And layed down 15 yards away. The young deer certainly knew I was there. This had happened before… with a lone doe that walked up and down a short distance away. I’ve learned from this, and other experiences, that animals are tuned into the potential for “aggression” or “threat”. These moments brought big smiles….and a connect… somehow they knew they were not threatened…. How do they know?
Birds are different. They need to be accustomed to your presence. Or, they fly away… unless you’re not noticeable …..
