Cedar Waxwing eating a pyracantha berry

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

This photo was taken with natural backlighting to make the berries look translucent and to give the bird a slight halo. What do you think of the composition and exposure settings? Any suggestions for improvement of composition or exposure? I took the photo with a D500 camera and Tamron 150-600 mm G2 lens. Settings f/8, 1/500 sec, ev +1, ISO 1,280, focal length 580 mm.
