Chuck-will's-widow and the Whip-poor-will look very similar. They are both in the Nightjar family. I believe these are both Chuck-will's-widows

Great shots Ira esp the newer one. Over here in Scotland we’d heard of Whip-poor-will (Thanks to Taj Mahal smile 😀) but not Chuck Will’s widow, so thanks for the education and the lovely images.
