I feel the need to elaborate a bit more on my comment above. I am not sure why I like these shots, but I am drawn to them and like to take similar shots when I can. But, that last part is most elusive to me and that may add to the equation. I frequently see these shots early in the morning when I am trying to head out to photograph birds out in the country. But, either I find no safe place to pull over and shoot, or I do not want to be late for good morning light and do not stop. So, I applaud anybody who is able to capture this mood and lighting well. Given my success with migrating birds, or lack thereof, I might be better just heading off on a foggy morning without feeling rushed as I tend to find a lot interesting subjects.

Looking at that I need to crank up the radiator another notch, I can feel how cold it was. So it transfers the story in a good and clear manor.
