I agree with Kumar about Laguna del Lagarto lodge. If you are going to be in Costa Rica for only a few days, you need to decide what is most important to you. If bird photography, not bird and mammal watching, is most important, then Laguna del Lagarto or Paraiso Quetzal lodges would be my choices. I have spent many months in Costa Rica over a dozen trips so have been to most places. Oso Pennisula is incredible but logistically can be a challenge, with many of the best places only accessible by boat or walking.Absolutely beautiful! If you could only go to one lodge on the Osa Peninsula for 4 days where would you go? (I may have that chance in November.)
If you go to Laguna del Lagarto, you will be taking fantastic images when you step out of the car. Paraiso Quetzal lodge offers a similar experience but at altitude (9,000 feet), so you see entirely different birds.
PS: Kumar, I do not mean to hijack your thread.
