I just shot the Yellow-throated toucan elsewhere, and almost the exact position. Thanks to those members who encouraged me to post some photos. We are always our worst critic.

I don't really understand your question. This is the only place I'v posted that photo.I just shot the Yellow-throated toucan elsewhere, and almost the exact position.
Did you do any post with that image?
Very nice shots. I’m impressed at your ability to hold the 600mm at 1/100th of a second. Great job! Thanks to those members who encouraged me to post some photos. We are always our worst critic.

I boosted the exposure and shadows. A touch more saturation.Did you perform any post-processing on that particular image?
Thanks! Reason I asked is I shot the same the bird in the same position in another country with the same gear as you minus body - I used z8.I boosted the exposure and shadows. A touch more saturation.
I checked to see if I had boosted the sharpness but I didn't.Thanks! Reason I asked is I shot the same the bird in the same position in another country with the same gear as you minus body - I used z8.
Give me an idea of what is possible. Mine is sharp, but I feel yours is sharper.
I was there between Nov. 8th and the 15th, got rained on all day, both days in Monteverde but lucked out in Sarapiqui and Tarcoles. They had an unusually wet NovemberWe were also told the extreme rain was not normal for November. The same as you on the east coast, we actually had no rain for 3 days.
I felt very lucky to see both toucans. Let's face it, all the birds, since they were all new to me.
I used the Plena 135 1.8 for my hummingbird photos. It would not have been possible otherwise to have a high shutter speed and a relatively low ISO.
