I was experimenting this morning with metering modes to use for animals after a good snowfall coupled with whitish skies. This coyote was quite helpful.

Very well done, well exposed and composed.
I often play with spot metering and also highlight weighted spot (a form of matrix metering) especially when I have tricky light and cooperative subjects.

Oh wow, this is a lovely shot. Love the OOF foreground. Great positioning of him in the frame and love the head angle looking in. Just a great shot. Very nice.

Very nice image. Well exposed. Noted that they focal length was 850 and the lens a 600E (plus 1.4 TC?) That should be 840.

Yes on the 1.4 TC. Not sure why Lightroom metadata lists it as 850 rather than the accurate, 840 but that is what it does.
