Wonderful photograph. Wish we had those little guys here in Pennsylvania but they were extirpated many, many years ago.

Adorable! Great Lighting! Was out looking for Pikas in a boulder field when this American Pine Marten came poking around through the rocks apparently with the same idea. I liked the way he popped up and was framed by this gap in the boulders.

So cute. A wonderful capture.
That sure is QUALITY PHOTOGRAPHY Dave, what a shot!
Super shot David---that orange bib against the brown fur is very attractive. --- Is that the final adult colouration for both sexes ? ( haven't seen one of these before , our Pine Martens have a white chest colouration only ! )
Thanks folks, much appreciated!Excellent image Dave. Beautiful fella!
That's my understanding. I don't even know what sex this one was but as I understand it both genders show the orange bib but that's just going from what the field guides say. We call these Pine Martens but apparently they're technically American Martens as they're distinct from their European Cousins. Is that the final adult colouration for both sexes ?
