When I see particles on my shots I thought it was called noise. Great shot.
Beautiful, and as a major fan of capturing the environmental along with the beasties, just love the sand storm speckling!

Yes I know makes a change not trying to get rid of the sparkly bits!
I actually love the effect of the sand particles across the BG, And I am sure he has a slight smile on his face!
