During a visit to Victoria Falls I stayed at the Old Drift Lodge on the Zimbabwe side of the Zambezi River. The Lodge is in the National Park and additional to the morning and afternoon game drives were morning and evening river cruises. One one such jaunt this Darter popped up in the shallows. Surprising how far and fast they travel after ducking under water. Popping up 10-15 metres away from where they submerged made the task of trying to capture this type of shot quite a challenge. Fortunately this chappie was a) hungry and b) very good at catching fish (figuratively and literally!)
And a little juggling action — the Darter caught the fish after this toss and gulped in Doen in one.
