Do you use drones?

I wanted to try out Mavic, but looks like govt going to literally rob DJI drones from us, so I wouldn't recommend to buy any - US is extremely hostile toward drones anyway (especially best ones). In any location here that is worth filming drones are prohibited.

dji is a pretty safe bet for the next few years. there's really no viable alternative that also isn't made from chinese parts. any drone bought prior to the ban would be grandfathered in.

DJI certainly makes a great product. I’m no a fan of promoting Chinese companies, but DJI is by far the best when it comes to drones.

Have a Mavic air. Use it for both checking out and documenting my own property but primarily for fun. I enjoy the elevated view that can be captured with them. However, for the most part I don't enjoy the really high views but prefer to stay somewhat close to the ground for my photography. It is also a great device to share with children, adolescents and friends. They are fun to fly and provide a great opportunity for bonding with the grandchildren.

Fun to use, gives a wonderfully different perspective, but regulations especially in Australia are very tight. I use mine for golf course photography.
