Drop in polarizing filter?

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

For bird photography I use my Nikon 500mm f/4 lens which comes with the 52mm drop-in filter supplied by the manufacturer (sometimes I add the TC1.4). I would like to know if someone instead of the original one has used the 52mm drop-in polarizing, and with what result; always thinking in bird photography with this lens, especially in aquatic ones to avoid the reflection of the water.
Apologies for my terrible English.

We were just talking about that: :)

Thank you very much, Steve. Your quick response has helped me a lot. For the moment I will go through with that. Do you remeber me?
