Managed to get one clean shot of this unacclimated egret. This lens continues to surprise me and rarely disappoints.

Thank you. I tried removing the stick in the bottom and found that I preferred leaving it (provided some anchor/balance) and did some clean up. Prints beautifully on Palo Duro Smooth Gloss which provides a nice glow to the background.Beautiful picture
I've seen them swallow 6 lb. catfish so a lens like that wouldn't be any problem for them to swallow.I'm disappointed, I thought I'd see a photo of an egret with an 800! Was trying to figure out how he could carry it....
Yes, it was shot in the shade, wide open, and the RAW file is plenty sharp. Made some color/contrast adjustments, enlarged and printed beautifully to 24x36 on a luminescent paper. Seems to draw a lot of interest when displayed.Nice capture. A little more detail and sharpness of it would've been nice, it appears a little soft, but we can't always have everything.
Maybe it has to do with the resolution used here.Yes, it was shot in the shade, wide open, and the RAW file is plenty sharp. Made some color/contrast adjustments, enlarged and printed beautifully to 24x36 on a luminescent paper. Seems to draw a lot of interest when displayed.
