Oh man, it's my old nemesis! Growing up back in FL, these big buggers would literally chase us on our horses on trail rides. Persistent, bitey bugs! Shudder.
Great photo, though! I love the detail on the compound eyes, the very sharp reflection, and how well it all pops out against the blue of your car window!

Ralph, I don't know what green heads are, but these guys are pretty bad.
They will sworm and have a nasty bite.
