Today you can see one of the first pictures that I took after buying my 200-500 in Dezember 2021.
This was the start of my my wildlife photography passion.

A fluffy little tree sparrow fights against the winter cold.

Very nice, Mark.
Thank you Kirk 🖖

Lovely capture. And a lovely bird.
It was the same for me with the 200-500 - what a joy that lens is
Thanks a lot😊
Yes Until I bought the telephoto camera, I was actually more of an occasional snapper who only made it to the zoo once.
But with this purchase my passion began.

Excellent
thank you 🖖

Dang good start. Great capture.
thank you john
Yes, that was a really good start and I quickly found myself wanting more and went outside with it several times a week.

LMAO! The Vulcan salute for Kirk (James T), awesome! 😀
Good sharpness on the pic for it being 1/500 @ 500 mm. Was it handheld?

Star Trek is my way older passion as photographing 😉

Yes I start handhold for all wildlife pictures. But I learned fast that is really heavy when I go for a walk 2-3 hours.
I watched many YouTube videos and think you need a tripod with gimbal like all the famous photographers there.
I bough one but never used it.
I go out most time after work and than I don't want to sit in a blind and hide.
After a half year I bought a monopod and use it now for every longer walk.
