I have taken this picture early in the morning around sunrise with my Nikon D90, Nikkor 105mm macro lens @ f8,0 ISO 200 and 1/6sec. I hope you like it

Your image demonstrates clearly that it is the artist who creates. Equipment is only secondary, and having the best of every item in your kit does not guarantee best results. Ansel Adams is one of many great photographers who "pre-visualized" his images, and you had the vision long before the fly cooperated by joining your shoot. I learned early on that shooting in manual mode--including having to focus manually--forms a direct path to progress and increasing joy. Wonderful!

Hallo Bill, thank you very much for your kind reply. Focusing manually was the one step that put my macro photography on the next level. For me, the most important piece of Equipment is apart from my normal gear, my alarmclock⏰⏰
Have a nice weekend, greetings from GermanyπŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹

Using two alarms makes perfect sense! When shooting landscapes, sunrise begins in the dark and often ends once the sun is just over the horizon as those gorgeous side-lighting effects are so clear. I was shooting a famous river one morning--starting in the absolute dark--shot for almost an hour, and was packing up, when a bus filled with about 40 tourists arrived to "shoot sunrise." They missed what I consider the best moments of the morning. Greetings from Nebraska!

I especially like the early morning hours because of the overall mood and solitude. Macro and landscape photography help me to calm down and relax, like an active kind of meditation. The pictures are a nice bonus 😊😊 In Germany, it is late evening. Have a nice weekend πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ“·
