Focus Issue with 200-400 F4G ED VR

I will try and blow out the camera maybe there is something that you cannot see with the naked eye.
Even if i put it on a 9-point Af, it doesn't pick up the other points when I am doing birds in flight

It won't pick up the other points for small or distant subjects and for subjects with a busy background. You have to acquire focus before it can use surrounding points. Just keep practicing and your technique will improve. I would use Dynamic 9 over Single if the subject is moving or likely to move. I use Single for static subjects only. With newer cameras I use Group or Wide modes most of the time.
