A few shots from Glacier National Park earlier this month. All pictures were taken on my Z8 with the Nikon Z 180-600 lens.

Nice shots. The sheep is a fake / look at the right of the body.
It is bedded down. You can see the hindquarter on the left side.

Correct, it's bedded down next to a ledge resting in the shade. The grey object behind it in the top left of the frame is another bighorn ram laying down as well. I can post a few more shots that are from a shorter focal length that clearly show the entire body. I assure you I don't "fake" any of my images. I don't add anything to my images that is not there, and I don't remove anything that is there (other than dust spots). The ram shot is 100% a real shot, and was minimally processed in lightroom.

Great shots! Hoping to hit the Highline Trail next summer, looks like packing a heavier kit is well worth it.
Highline is an amazing hike. Actually not a huge amount of elevation gain, the trail is pretty flat a lot of the way, unless you add on the Grinnell Glacier overlook. The day before I did highline we did Grinnell Glacier trail out to Grinnell glacier, so we did not feel the need to do the overlook. Definitely get to Logan pass before sunrise for the hike. I'm a strong hiker and I'm use to a very heavy pack, so hiking with the 180-600 isn't too tough for me. There is definitely enough wildlife on Highline to justify lugging it around. I also suggest doing the hike as point to point and taking the shuttle or hitchhiking back to Logan Pass from the loop bus stop on Going to the Sun Road. I was there for 8 days and stayed on both sides of the park in Lake McDonald lodge and Many Glacier Hotel, and also did some hikes down in Two Medicine. Feel free to message me with any questions about hikes or anything you want info on.
