Great Gray Owls in Canada - with the Nikon Z8 FW2.0

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

Hey BCG folks, this is my first post here! Excited to contribute, receive feedback, and learn from everyone here.

These were shot in Alberta, Canada over the long weekend with the Nikon Z8 and 200-500mm with the FTZII adapter. 2 years shooting these owls and I have realized that 200-300mm is the ideal focal length to photograph these gorgeous birds.

All flight shots are ISO 7200, f5.6 and 1/2000s @310mm. Post-processed in LR with denoise applied in some pictures.

Thanks for viewing!
