Replaced the Sky.Excellent image of the hawk landing! Stunning image. Almost looks like a composite.....
Thought so. The warm light on the bird didn't match with the bright blue sky and the light on the wood................Replaced the Sky.
Wow, you inspected with a fine-tooth comb. I'm guessing that you don't approve of replacing skies. BTW, if I was interested in your critique, I would have placed the photo in the critique section.Thought so. No I didn't inspect it with a fine-tooth comb. I simply looked at it. I didn't offer a critique, just said...."...it looks like a composite...."Wow, you inspected with a fine-tooth comb. I got "carried away" with the deep blue sky and was too quick to post. Yea, it's easy to see my problem. I'm going to redo my edit and repost. Matt is excellent instructor. The very first thing I saw was the replaced sky... something didn't look quite right. I replace skies sometimes and I'm not an expert at this so mine look "off" a bit also. I think MattK has some good videos on using this feature... time for me to review. I'm not knocking your photo because I think it is quite striking. I've never seen a Harris's Hawk, let alone such a great shot of one.
Let's see how this "plays"I got "carried away" with the deep blue sky and was too quick to post. Yea, it's easy to see my problem. I'm going to redo my edit and repost. Matt is excellent instructor.
Wonderful image, but it's quite obvious this is a sky replacement and agree with @Butlerkid.Wow, you inspected with a fine-tooth comb. I'm guessing that you don't approve of replacing skies. BTW, if I was interested in your critique, I would have placed the photo in the critique section.
