Hmmm, creamy background.

Spent the morning hoping to come across the "so many" Whitetail deer along Toronto's Don River this morning; nicely there was a pretty heavy frost in the river valley; I mean, it IS November! Other than when kneeling in a mud flat, waiting for some Mallards to drift into the coloured reflections in the river, which they never did, and noting right next to my knee some deer tracks, I spotted no deer. Nicely, to put something on the memory card, this White-throated Sparrow perched with a distant fall-coloured foliage as a backdrop.

Nicely done!

Nice shot Steven, there were just a ton of these sparrows this year at Downsview and Tommy Thompson where I spend quite a bit of time shooting, some are still around. They are pretty birds for sure and I never pass an opportunity to photograph them.

Thanks Jose! While I don't begrudge invasive bird species (not like it's their fault) I am always delighted when the sparrows in number in Toronto are not House Sparrows; great you a ton of these guys -- thanks to grabbing this shot I learned that the White-throated Sparrows are migratory in Toronto. Cheers!
