Ruby-Throated Hummingbird on Royal Catchfly. Finaly got some okay shots with this hummingbird and Royal Catchfly. The flowers are not in a good spot for light, so that's been my problem. D500 300PF ISO2500 F/7.1 1/2000 sec. I placed a flash on a stand to the left of the hummingbird. Hopefully not too much flash.

Broadtail Hummingbird feeding in the yard today. I liked the way the hummer and plant were lit by the morning sun but the background bushes were still shaded.

Nikon Z6 II, 300mm PF, f/5, 1/1000", ISO 1000

And a couple more Broadtails from earlier this evening when they were very active near the bushes and feeders. Definitely having fun with the Z6 II & 300mm PF as a light weight and nimble combo for hummers in the yard. Still playing with different AF area modes but having pretty good luck with both Dynamic and the Wide Area modes.
