Prior to a week ago I don't think I ever saw a Calliope hummer in our yard but this guy has been around a lot lately. Hopefully he sticks around as it's a nice addition to the usual Broad Tails and Rufous hummingbirds we typically see. Now if some of our flowers would start to grow (still had snow in the yard a couple of weeks ago) that would really help make hummer shots more interesting

Unfortunately, Hummingbird does not exist in Germany

From our last trip to Ecuador before going to the Galapagos. I only had my walkabout camera anticipating only landscapes but at the Equator Center in Quito, this violetear and friends appeared. Note lens was a Tamron 18-400
