Here is a link to an article on Nikon Rumors by RC Jenkins about the Z8. The article is an overall review of the Z8. I thought the most interesting part was a discussion about how the Z8 viewfinder works to give a blackout free view at shutter speeds at or faster than 1/250 and why the results are different at slower shutter speeds. Sounds plausible, although I do not have any confirming information. Presumably the same for the Z9 viewfinder.
