Jackdaws plucking doe hair for nesting.
Taken with a Sony A7III and Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Sports.

Which one do you like the most and least, and why? Any suggestions?
Thank you.

The thing that strikes me most as far as critique goes is how detail is lost in the dark parts of the bird bodies. If you have any latitude in the raw in selectively raising the darks, if would help. It sounds oddball but if you lower the shadows a little, or at least leave them be, then raise the blacks a lot that can sometimes be better than raising the shadows, because it allows you to keep the middle opened up a touch.

I like them all except for the last one, the blurred subject so close to the front does not work for me. I do think #1 and 2 are the best of the series. Poor little girl, all those birds taking her hair for their nest...naughty birds!
