Leopard in golden hour ascent- Ruaha Nat Park, TZ

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

The fact these images only have 19 likes when they have been viewed 184 is criminal.. Come on Folks it's not hard. Drop a note, hit the like button... Let everyone know.

Without a doubt and especially given these particular images, you are 100% correct; however and with my apologies for being a grumpy old man 👿, I do believe we need to take into consideration a few points.
  • There are so many really good images and posts made, it is very difficult at times to keep our minds focused on giving likes and comments. I for one, often view an image but because of time restraints (lunch is ready :)), I don't know whether to like it (y) , love it 😍 or laugh at it 🤣, or some other equally poor excuse, decide on the spur of the moment to come back later and have another look before liking or commenting. Yep, alzhiemer's  comes into play.
  • Technophobia - major problem for a lot of people. Afraid to hit buttons for fear of what it might do or of making a mistake.
  • Learning curve for the software. Some people adapt quickly to new software, others don't.
  • Language problems. Quite a few in here who are no doubt relying upon Google Translate to assist with communication.
In conclusion, let me say, if anyone is having trouble with anything in the forum, don't be shy, ask how it's done or what something stands for or means. What's more, don't be put off by Gordon's demeanor, he's actually a very nice guy, wants the world to know @marc (and several others here) are bloody good photographers and deserve recognition, knows a bucket load about computers and more than willing to help you. :):):).

Apart from the tutorials @Steve has posted, there are others here who are very capable of whipping up quick tutorials (with pretty pictures too) to help you out. Help is just a question away.

A few of examples of mine:

@Oztours Well said Peter.... if anyone was put off by my comments I do apologize as it was just meant to let the person posting an image that you liked it, or thought enough of the image to comment on it. Sometimes I suffer from grumpy old man syndrome.
Thanks Peter for helping to clarify...

Careful Marc, you have a stalker! BWHAHAHA. 😂
@gordon_g ~ Now, now, Who else is coming back again?!!! :sneaky: These cats are SO beautiful, I will  them every time I sneak by, but Steve only allows one tick!
@Oztours ~ Lovey write-up, Mate, I think you need to address that devil called Alzheimer:eek:; it is letting you astray onto the stalking path as well! But maybe two (🐆 & 🦘)can walk fearlessy!

Hi Marc, I suspect you have done your research and know a lot about the wildlife you are seeking to capture on your trips. Picking up points from reading about photography brings home the importance of understanding animal behaviour. It’s really rewarding to see the standards to aim for through such great pictures yiu and others post. Getting ‘that’ shot’ is part of the appeal for me. Always aspiring to improve my technique and to get better quality images. Really like your images and picking up ideas.
