Weird late spring & early summer here. Seems to have been lots of reasons for not getting out so I pulled one out from November of 2019. We had a new State Park that opened early in 2019 called Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park. Apparently it received it's name because from a distance it looks like the ancient walled city of Jerusalem. These badlands are an example of some of the Niobrara chalk formations in Kansas. There are other similar outcroppings along the Smokey Hill River Valley in western Kansas, but this one is really quite the place. We were there on the 1st of November, wind was blowing about 30 mph & it was freezing. But as always, we had a good time.
This photo is a 10 panel hand held vertical orientation pano that has been cropped to about 8 panel wide. Shot on a Nikon D3300, with Nikon 18-55mm kit lens at 42mm, f/5.6, ISO 100. Thanks, Bill
